MHS Planning and Design is searching for an experienced graphic designer to join our team at our Dallas or Tyler, Texas office. The right candidate will display excellent graphic design skills, time management and communication skills, and work well in a team environment. The individual chosen for this position will be part of a team in a counter-cultural company striving to transform lives in the communities that we serve and should be goal driven towards fulfilling that role. MHS Planning & Design is a consulting firm that specializes in creating recreational and outdoor venues customized to fulfill the unique needs of communities.

Required Skills/Abilities:  

• Proficient with InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Adobe Products

• Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for company logos and websites

• Manage company website and updates, as well as experience w/various social media platforms

• Exhibit excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail

• Exhibit excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Develop Interactive, multi-page book layouts for print and for digital publication

• Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Exhibit the ability to independently work on projects

• Create usable templates and develop and implement that knowledge to set up new projects

• Build file databases for use in future projects and templates

 

Education and Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years related experience in building out large book publications and social media development required

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 2+ Years working in a team environment preferred.

• Adobe Platform Certifications preferred

•  Knowledge of Parks and Recreation is a plus.
