Design and construction of 24 new playgrounds
The Garland Playground Replacement Program was a necessary solution to provide Garland families with inclusive and engaging outdoor spaces that are accessible to all its citizens.
After an existing conditions analysis, the proposed facilities were evenly distributed within the regions throughout the city and ensuring that each region had a diverse selection of play according to the categories written within the master plan: Nature Play, Adventure/Fitness, Traditional, and Themed. This program revitalized aging infrastructure, prioritized child safety, and unleashed creativity through diverse designs.
